This is the template I have created for my peer feedback.

My Genius Project:

The topic of my project is to highlight the importance of being yourself. I will discuss the main reasons why we feel the need to change who we are as well as some of the dangers that can follow this.

My genius project is targeted towards anyone who has ever felt the need to change who they are because they do not feel good about themselves. This is very common for teenagers and more specifically teenage girls. Therefore my project is designed for a teenage audience.

After presenting my project I am hoping that everyone will be more educated and aware of very important issues in the world today. These issues all lead to the insecurities of everyday people. The more that we learn about these issues the more that we can learn how to deal with them safely.

Peer Feedback

Today and over the next few days I am planning on asking my peers to give me feedback on my Genius Project. I am working on a template that states what my goals where and I am going to see whether or not I met my criteria. I will be posting some of the feedback on the blog. From there I will make adjustments to my work hopefully allowing it to meet my criteria more accurately.

I feel that the second video is way more powerful and will allow my audience to realize how terrible bullying actually is. Although I am also worried that it is too powerful and may cause some uneasiness in the audience. I do not want to affect or upset anyone. Therefore after giving it a lot of thought I have decided to just present the first video as it is still powerful but to the point where everyone should be able to handle it.

Starting the PowerPoint

Today I am starting my PowerPoint project. I am starting off by planning out what each slide is going to be about. After I will decorate the slides in order to keep the audiences attention. I am also hoping to write some sort of casual speech discussing the different slides. I am hoping to complete this step by the end of this weekend.

My Research

I have been working hard over the last few weeks gathering information from various sites on my topic. I started my research by looking at different views on why we have low self esteem. There were two main reasons that kept repeating repeating themselves, bullying and celebrity images. I then decided to discuss these two topics more in depth, explaining why these affect us and some possible things they could lead too.
My next step is to start putting my project together. I have already arranged a lot of my research on paper and now I need to convert that onto the computer and organize it as a PowerPoint presentation. I am excited to start this step as I am excited to see where my education and creativity can take me.

Getting Started

So far I have spent quite a long time doing research on my topic. Slowly but surely I am getting all of the information I feel is necessary to accurately represent my idea. As I am gathering this information I am thinking about how I can display it in such a matter to make it appealing and interesting to the audience. So far I have decided that I am going to make a PowerPoint project. This way I will be able to display my information in an organized manner. It will also allow me to show pictures and videos while speaking allowed to the audience whenever I please.

My Genius Project

The focus of my genius project is to help others realize the importance of being yourself. There are so many people in the world, mostly teenagers, who look at themselves in the mirror and think 'I am not good enough.' Now why do we put these crazy thoughts into our minds? Throughout the process of my genius project I am hoping to learn more about why we think this way and how it can be prevented.  I feel inspired to learn more about this because I see it taking place all around me everyday.
After completing this project I hope to have educated others about the importance of diversity and being an individual.
I am targetting this project toward teenagers as well as anyone who has troubles believing that they are amazing.
My project is connected to Health and Social Education. If all goes as planned I will have demonstrated many different causes, dangers, as well as just general information about why we never feel happy with who we are.
